Saturday 26th November is officially ‘Switch on Saturday’ in Lyme Regis. Check out some of the events going on in the town to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
Lyme’s Christmas Windows
Throughout December, independent businesses in Lyme Regis will be displaying artfully painted windows. Follow the trail around town picking up clues from each window and be in with a change of winning a fantastic prize.
Santa’s Grotto
Meet Father Christmas at his grotto in the Royal Lion Hotel on Broad Street from 1pm. Entry is just £2.50 and every child receives a gift.
Christmas Lantern Workshop
Inside the baptist church from 3pm, come and create a Christmas lantern. Judging takes place at 4:30pm.
Christmas Light Switch On
Leading the switch on parade is the Christmas lanterns and Father Christmas himself, departing from the Baptist Church at 5:15pm and finishing by the tree at the bottom of Broad Street for 5:30pm.
Town Mill Galleries Christmas Fair
The annual market of traditional crafts offers the chance to find original and unique seasonal gifts hand-made by local craftsmen and women.
